PREVENTION
OF POST-SURGICAL INFECTIONS
This is an important line of research that we have been following for more than 10 years. Post-surgical infections in the field of orthopedic prostheses and traumatology are one of the most serious and difficult to treat complications.
Adler Ortho research has led to the development of DAC® (Defensive Antibacterial Coating), a bioabsorbable hydrogel based on hyaluronic and polylactic acid which, spread on the implant surface, can act as a temporary barrier against bacterial colonization.
PREVENTION OF POST-SURGICAL ADHESIONS
Development of resorbable anti adhesion gels based on hyaluronic acid for the prevention of peritendinous and perineural adhesions. Novabarrier® resorbable gel represents an advanced treatment against post-surgical adhesions in hand and spine surgery.
